Nativity Blocks

I started these last year but got sick of sanding them so I never finished.  I love the finished product!!  I think the next time I decide to do a project like this I should start with one set...not four!  The best part of this project is that is was basically free.  We found the wood at a construction site in the dumpster and I already had the paint and modge podge.  I have seen these done with Me and My Big Ideas Nativity Stickers but they don't make those stickers anymore.  I was so happy when my friend found this artwork for the blocks!  I had been talking about these blocks for quite some time and was so disappointed that I couldn't find the stickers anymore.  I love having kid friendly nativity sets so my kids can play with them during the Christmas season.  They are loving that I gave them each a set to keep in their room.

My favorite is the yellow set because I printed that one on an overhead transparency...I think it looks way better than the ones on white cardstock.

Candy Bar Creations

Michelle from Poppy Pear made these cute crafts for the Symfully Sweet Project Contest at Symmetry in Motion.  She used the colors from the Hershey's Candy Bars to create a Thanksgiving Banner and Pumpkins.

Sweet and Simple Cards

It's time for another Symfully Sweet Project over at Symmetry in Motion!  This month's candy was Hershey's Miniatures Candy Bars.  I must tell you that it was a little more difficult to come up with something using these tiny candy bars.  I decided to make mini cards and actually had a lot of fun doing them!  Take a look for yourself and let me know what you think.

Inside the card...there is even room to write a little thought!

Candy Corn Sign

I have been inspired by my friend Brooks to enter a craft contest.  Every month a new candy is introduced and you have to create a craft according to the candy.  Check it out at Symmetry In Motion.  This month the theme was Candy Corn.  I got kind of excited and had a few ideas but the idea that one was a wooden sign.  This was my first attempt and I think it turned out pretty good!!!

Candy Corn Skirts

My sister Michelle Brooks at Poppy Pear made these candy corn skirts.  Her blog is private so I am posting them for her for a craft contest over at Symmetry in Motion.  Go check out all the other candy corn inspired crafts!
